Mrs. Sila Basturk Agiroglu (she/her) is a project and corporate finance manager in sustainable and climate finance. She worked as a project finance analyst at the Sustainable Infrastructure – Energy Banking division of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (‘EBRD’) from 2017 to 2021. She was a buy-side equity analyst at Union Bancaire Privée – Asset Management focusing on global emerging markets in 2016-2017. She is experienced in project finance modelling, debt structuring, and equity investments of a wide range of green-economy transition projects. She has been involved in the origination and monitoring of greenfield wind and solar power plants, regional grid investments, privatisation, and acquisitions.
She graduated from Bogazici University, Management in 2016 and holds an MSc. Degree in Energy Technologies and Management (2019) from Sabanci University. Mrs. Sila Basturk Agiroglu is currently enrolled in Master in Environmental Studies at York University, Canada and Business & Sustainability diploma of Schulich Business School. Her research is focused on climate finance and ecological economics. She is also engaged in sustainability informatics tools and ecological footprint calculations.
